Dr. Gregory P. Guerra and his staff of friendly professionals would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our blog! We are proud to be a leading family dentistry practice in Gretna and Metairie, LA that provides our patients with a wide array of dental services. We strive to help you preserve your natural teeth, replace your missing teeth and maintain your overall oral health.

We put an emphasis on advanced restorative and implant dentistry. We make use of the latest, state-of-the-art technology to provide you with exceptional treatment. We provide our patients with two convenient office locations: one in the Gretna’s historic district and the other in the heart of Metairie.

Meet Dr. Guerra

greg guerra gretna dentistDr. Gregory P. Guerra, DDS is a New Orleans native. He earned his DDS degree from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2001. He received advanced dental restorative training at the Pankey Institute of Key Biscayne, Florida. As a “Fellow” in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Guerra has been recognized as a leader and demonstrates to other dentists the importance of quality continuing education. To become a Fellow, a dentist must complete at least 500 continuing dental education credit hours and complete a rigorous examination process.

Dr. Guerra is a member of several prestigious professional organizations including The American Dental Association, The Louisiana Dental Association, The New Orleans Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and The American Dental Implant Association.

When he is not working, Dr. Guerra enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys photography as he is a trained photographer.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Once we’ve compiled your medical and dental history, we will provide you with an examination. During this first appointment, we will examine your teeth and gums, screen you for oral cancer and taking X-rays of your teeth as needed. We also will provide you with a TMJ exam. Once we’ve reviewed your dental profile, we will discuss a diagnosis with you. If you require treatment such as a root canal, orthodontic braces or oral surgery, we will make plans to treat you in our office or refer you to a specialist.
